Every year starting in April we see an annual migration of tarpon move into the Tampa Bay area. The fishing can be hit or miss but really picks up as we move into May. From May until July the fishing near the beaches and passes can be extremely productive. Typically, sometime around the end of June and beginning of July, and in correspondence with a full moon, the tarpon migrate offshore to spawn before moving back inshore and into the bay.
Our season got off to a little bit of a late start this year but we made the most of it. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, charters are available from a boat as well. Call for details!
