Had to reschedule a trip this evening because of impending thunderstorms. The storms ended up clearing and gave us a short window at the end of the day to get out and look for fish. Had a buddy come with me and we headed out around 6.
I recently received some fly fishing lessons from a friend and decided to buy one of my own. Armed with my long rod we headed out looking for the schools of tailing fish I have been finding during afternoon low tides. It did not take long for me to locate a school. After a couple poor casts I came tight and landed my first ever redfish on fly.
I’ve caught lots of fish in a lot of different circumstances but this was surely one of my proudest moments so far in my fishign careeer.
