Had Carl and his son Eric out for an early morning charter in Fort Desoto Park this morning. We launched around 730 to a low incoming tide and started fishing mullet schools with topwater for trout. The very first cast of the day produced a nice keeper and into the cooler he went! From there action varied but we picked up a handful of trout with a few more keepers before the topwater bite died. After checking a few different areas without much luck the tide peaked around noon and started going out. We made one more move and that was all it took to get into non stop redfish action. For the next couple hours we caught a bunch of redfish most of which were way over slot, a couple monsters, and one perfect slot size fish. Eric even picked up a nice 20″ trout to add to the cooler.
