Got out yesterday morning with cousins Jason from Texas and Josh from New York for an inshore trip in lower Tampa Bay. We launched around 9 am during the last of the outgoing tide to a slick calm morning. After a decent paddle we started looking for the schools of redfish I’ve been targeting. Once the tide began coming in, we hit a couple spots with not much to show for, with some storms brewing we made the decision to stay close to the launch which ended up being a good thing.

While standing in my Hobie Revolution I sighted several groups of redfish moving away from me as I poled forward. We hopped out and started fishing and within a few minutes Josh was hooked up to a big over slot fish. We caught several redfish and a nice sized bonnet head shark made an appearance before we decided to call it a day a little after 1.
