Got out with Dave to do some scouting in an area I had not fished in a while. Expecting to find more schools of redfish tailing during the afternoon low tides we launched the kayaks into Tampa Bay a little after 5 and fished the end of the outgoing. Wading some potholes we picked up over a dozen trout, including a gator 26″ trout that Dave landed on a Slayer Inc SST soft plastic. We also landed 5 redfish up to 29″ (over slot).

Once the tide began coming in it didn’t take very long for me to locate a school of redfish happily tailing on the flat. We worked the school of redfish until several hours after dark, picking up another half dozen or so fish before calling it a late night.

The coming full moon is going to be off the hook! Dates are filling up fast, if you want to get in on the tailing redfish action and after dark sight fishing then now is the time to book your trip!

Enjoy the pictures.
